Great day yesterday
added another one to the stable
Bianchi of some kind
columbus sl tubes and sticker (reparto corse)
new bengal white color and 11 speed campy groupo (thanks scooby) thanks also for the build
needS a little bit of gallegar work though(frame not built for 11 speed
finished another pack race last night without blowing up
killed on way home
thanks for the folks at willow springs drop point for the water and encouragement(anthony warm water still was a help)
hopefully tonight will be another Piney Flats great ride

p.s. Thanks to brain white for some great deals and awesome conversation on cutting things

Wow what a weekend of cycling
First time being a road marshall (oil slick) that is all i want to say
sun crit had a blast worked with the back did not finish last (stoked)
went by hospital after pack race (higgs was in great spirits) sorry man
not much but to the point

msg series opened up this weekend in the mighty unicoi county

jules thomas and her dad ventured out for one of the best days of my life

signed up in cx 4 jules in cx jrs (first race on a bike just learned how to change gears friday night)

who was more nervous

i guess not her managed a big 3rd place finished 2 laps on an awesome challening course

her dad just 3 laps

oh well new love for both

Wow been riding my mt bike more in the past two week than in a year or so it seems. Warriors path mt bike trails are so much fun, latley been riding with some old an new friends. We all have been under the gun awaiting AKS return to dirt, finally the barometric pressure was right and we all headed out wed evening.
Been six months since last ride with good ole friend Capt dingo
captain ding rides fast on a ss through the woods
Dirty did not throw his bike or his helment at me this time(sorry about my actions mon paid for it wed night)
AKS almost made the whole way ss or not glad to see u back and nice ride do not get any gears

Had the chance on friday to demo a carbon road bike and would have to be one that is totally out of any price range that trixie could ever afford. BMC team machine slr01, wow what a ride, feel really akward saying this because i love steel bikes so much, but i did enjoy the ride. Every pedal stroke felt better than the first, THANKS brian!!!!!!!!!

If u want an excellent day of torture call and ask george and jeff about the (421 trail) as they call it. Really 22.31 milea of fun and not so fun. Riding with me can make it enjoyable though, almost 3/4 of the way finishing igot my usual been riding over my head leg cramps OUCH, just asked jeff what amusement he recieved for about 10 minutes of me in the fetal postion crying like a 1 year old wanting some butt cream. thanks again for a wonderful dy just like they like it. goat like

just yesterday while sitting in line at our local metal scrape yard in the danger ranger i recieved a phone call, if you do not know the danger ranger let me explain. Norris call it what u want our top 5 lbs has a delivery truck scarry . If you have never been to the metal yard got it is way cool, back to the phone call, newton called me to inform me that i had been chosen to go to a ski company demo in mt hood oregon

Well i now know that folks do read by blog, after my post got text that there would be a ride on monday(thanks scooby) and as i was getting ready to leave work to head home , my brain told me not too, thank goodness heard that is was kinda a hammer fest. So i decided to wait to my day off . What a great idea that was, met up with alan and mr.dingo for a nice ride around town,
things were going so smoothly and then i heard someone say something about the smell of spring, all i could smell was cow dung , i was on mr dingos wheel when all of the sudden he started going to the inside of the road which i pulled up not knowing that mr new bmc was on my wheel
ting ting ting pow, oh no i just made alan kill his new ride, thank goodness the man has skills and did not hit the pavement, well after that thing seemed to be going smooth when i started to down shift and almost lost it all, thanks to the quick call from my fellow riders, up shift and then a quick abort your pedals i almost went down, glad other riders sometimes will have your back,
what a day fun in the sun again thanks for the call and more adventure will come sooooon

Good morning blogger

my first day back on a bike in a while was spectacular, aks and i hit up the best riding in the southeast in our backyard BUFFALO MT, and what a treat it was
the day started off with a good hour of climbing and then finishing up with some of the best single track downhill i know of, some folks will beg to differ, but buffalo mt has the best of so many things, sorry about the blow out , rolled new tubless tire off rim on the last descend, that was way hot, funny how four grown men that have been riding for many years can not figure out how to use a simple bike pump,
on the climb we were graced with the king of buffalo mt Mr. Grant Rowland, for a few seconds, he blew by aaron first then me a few seconds later , i tried to stay with him a very short dh but as soon as we started climbing he was gone
when we arrive to the top and started over to the blue trail he rode along side of us back to the car, hope this will not be the last of mt biking for the fall
jules starts fall break today and on wed hope to tke her out for a ride on a trail near us , she is going to learn how to use hand breaks so that next year she will be able to try her hand at shourt track and cx, she is very excited about that
for now that is all

I finished a wed short track
hard to believe well it really happened
just wanted to see if i could finish a ride without stopping to heckel other riders(sorry ben) did it while i was riding, finished 8 laps overall for the night 11
the worst part was it was feeling over confident and decided to go and try a little ds dual slalom for the those who do not know, all i have to say about it is scraped knee and shoulder (Put The Seat Down ASSHOLE)less than a week away the big day is comming

Well its friday and what to do, going to be a single man for the weekend , hill is going on her bach weekend in atlanta, and i have to work , wish i was going off somewhere to ride, maybe sat morning or even sunday good luck to all our favorite etsu students with their first bike races of the year, they even have old scooby blue with them
About last weekends ride with the band , it has taken me days to feel better about that day
the ride was awesome , a jeff and george event, creeper trail flat ride
BULLSH_t, these guys can find a goat trail in the desert, all had a great time except me on the way back, i cut my tire about one mile from the car and had to walk, do not take a tubular wheelset to the creeper, might as well pitched a 100 dollar bill out the window on the way there
Have not heard from aks much this week ,good luck this weekend it is time for another chesser to arrive, boy that is alot of women in one house, he can handle it though, enough for now time for a great dat of work

Oh well it is late wed night and no short track for me, that is ok though, had to pick up my beautiful daughter from school today , her mom is having minor surgery on thursday so she is going to be around a little early this week. From one blogger to another aks must have alot of just for men in the medicine closet, jules can make me laugh and cry sometimes in the same sentence, aaron has two girls and one on the wayWOW. hope someone filled my shoes over at the track , i am sure they did, oh what is that sound , its my bike down stairs chatting at each other how bad a poser that i have been latley. my wonderful masi gran corsa has not had a leg across her in almost three weeks, the last ride was with the greens eric the old man and father ken sure miss it , stasrted off the early summ riding like a champ and keeping up sometimes and then fell off like an apple in the back yard, well i am try to be a soon to be husband and keep the other half happy, boy i need to make myself happy too. must go for now light out jules is already snoring it up trixie

Well it is sunday moring and still no riding again today, last sunday decided to ride buffalo with an old mt biking buddy from the past(part of jmg mtb club) one of the goats george. Started out at a good pace then realized it was too much , mike t mechanics thank goodness allowed me to slow down and take a take a few breathers. It was a great ride until near the top i decide instead of rinding the fire road back down i wanted to check my handling skills on either the blue trail or the other single track trails there, george knowing that him and another famous mtbiker in the area also a member of the jmg club have covered every trail on the mt, i let him decid the way back to the car. lets do part of the blue and then over to toms trail and down daves trail and then back to the car we decided, WOW that was so much fun a cyclocross bike was w good decision for the road but not so great for the other rough terrain, i did make it though there were alot of hard hits decending, while riding to bottom had one very hard jolt from a water bar that made my teeth chatter.
My next adventure was on wed, thought again that i would make an appearance at our local college short track 20 minutes of HELL, to some not always me i use it as a way to goof off with alot of old and new friends from cycling past, heckling is now one of my favorite hobbies, only a few heavy hitters were there, greg carr former alpine ski center stand out employee, mark prince of deals, eric davis the face of piney flats, brian acher king of single speed, and the newest kid on the block of cycling 'young casey" known him way long ago, thomas big hair was also there, sorry if i forgot any one else will try to remember next time to pay better attention to who is there, back to the story. felt good warming up but as i went along cutting course and bitching and cursin as i do, i felt my self tighting up in the chest and back region, went to work on thursday and felt fine until around close when i felt that tight feeling again oh well getting old, by friday the next thing i felt was my chest tighting so much it would take my breath so i called the doc and he said come on by, that is another story, after an exam by him (man u r getting older mike take time and stretch and warm up before any exercising u dumbass) were his famous words , now i am a blogger, i guess i can just sit an talk about the old times and blog about it, oh well time to go now will c u in the funny pages trixie
